I am the Director of the Language Resource Center at Cornell University.
In addition, I currently serve as Editor of The Language Classroom section of the journal NECTFL Review. I recently completed a two-year term as President of the Consortium for Language Teaching and Learning (CLTL), a six-year term on the International Association for Language Learning Technology (IALLT) board, and a six-year term as Co-Editor of the journal Die Unterrichtspraxis/Teaching German published by the American Association of Teachers of German, together with my colleague Theresa Schenker.
My research interests include language center management and second language acquisition, specifically technology-enhanced and mobile language learning, languages across the curriculum, and student motivations.
When I’m not on campus, you’ll find me cooking, traveling, drinking coffee, or exploring the Finger Lakes region.
